Assess before recommending
The existing slab, coating, stains, wear, movement and intended use are considered before deciding whether cleaning, sealing or resurfacing is suitable.
Family owned · Gold Coast local · Since 2000
Founded by Grant Manning in 2000, Gold Coast Spray Paving is a family-owned business helping homeowners and commercial property owners refresh suitable concrete through careful preparation, cleaning, sealing, decorative coatings and resurfacing.
Our story
Grant Manning started Gold Coast Spray Paving to give tired, stained and dated concrete a practical alternative to complete removal and replacement where the existing slab is suitable.
Since then, the business has worked across the Gold Coast on driveways, paths, patios, pool surrounds, entertaining areas and selected commercial surfaces. Every project begins with the condition of the existing surface: what it is made from, how it has worn, whether an old coating is failing and what the area needs to handle after the work is complete.
That assessment helps determine whether the sensible option is cleaning, sealing, repair preparation, decorative resurfacing, an epoxy finish or a different approach altogether. The aim is not to oversell a coating, but to recommend work that suits the surface and the property.
How we work
Good results depend on choosing an appropriate system and preparing the concrete properly before the finish is applied.
The existing slab, coating, stains, wear, movement and intended use are considered before deciding whether cleaning, sealing or resurfacing is suitable.
Cleaning, degreasing, removal of weak material and other preparation are matched to the surface and the coating system being used.
Where the underlying concrete is moving, badly damaged or unsuitable for coating, that limitation should be identified rather than hidden beneath a new finish.
What we do
From a thorough clean through to a full decorative resurfacing system, the scope of work depends on what the surface actually needs.
Decorative spray-on finishes with colour, border and pattern options for suitable concrete areas.
Explore coloured coatings →Preparation and resurfacing for suitable driveways, patios, paths, pool surrounds and commercial areas.
Explore resurfacing →Pressure cleaning for appropriate concrete, exposed aggregate, pavers and selected coated surfaces.
Explore driveway cleaning →Cleaning and sealing options intended to improve presentation and help protect suitable hard surfaces.
Explore cleaning and sealing →A practical way to update a suitable existing driveway without automatically removing the entire slab.
Explore driveway resurfacing →Coating options for suitable garage floors and selected residential or commercial concrete surfaces.
Explore epoxy coatings →Clear expectations
Concrete resurfacing can improve the appearance of a suitable slab, but it cannot control future movement within the underlying concrete.
Existing cracks can often be prepared as part of a resurfacing project, but no coating contractor can guarantee that an existing or future crack will never reappear. Movement and cracking originate in the underlying concrete slab and may transfer through the resurfaced finish.
That is why the condition of the slab should be considered before recommending a coating system.
